Oct 31st, 2-5pm: Downtown Corvallis Halloween on the Waterfront 🎃👻

Trick-or-Treating in Downtown Corvallis has long been a fun Halloween event for families. This year, in addition to Trick-or-Treating,  families can head over to the waterfront for interactive booths, games, and activities from local businesses, including yours truly!


Come find our booth on the waterfront between 2-5pm for games, candy, costumes... and if you dare, a clue to embark on a hunt for a chance to win a prize!

Sept 12th: Springfield's The Block Party 2026

Springfield's The Block Party is Lane County's largest free community celebration, bringing 15,000 neighbors together for One Magical Night each September in Historic Downtown Springfield.

 

This was our first year hosting a booth at The Block Party and we had a blast! Thanks to those who stopped by - we were happy to offer a bit of cover from the downpour and a fun game with *limited* prizes including gift cards from local restaurants and vendors, some of which were at the Party, or across the street from our booth! ... We'll bring more prizes next year, promise.

June 1st – 26th: Vina’s Back to School Donation Drive with Vina Moses Center in Corvallis

Hunking Law collected grooming and dental care essentials in preparation for Vina’s Back to School Days, to ensure Benton County students have what they need to be confident and comfortable in the classroom. 


We want to thank everyone who donated to this drive. We managed to fill our donation box to the brim with 190 total dental care, grooming essentials, and other hygiene items.

March 17th 2026: Benton County Career Convention at the LaSells Stewart Center in Corvallis

Josh participated in the Business panel, discussing what it takes to successfully start and run a law firm. Following a moderated panel discussion, the students had the opportunity to ask the panelists questions



Tarsa held mock interviews for students to practice their skills and offered constructive feedback, encouraging them to highlight their strengths and stand out in future interviews

Dec 11th, 2025 & Jan 8th 2026: Leadership Corvallis Coffee Sponsorship

Hunking Law sponsored coffee and donuts for two Leadership Corvallis classes in December 2025 and January 2026. Our very own Tarsa Weikert attended the course (class of 2026!) and loved learning about the other businesses, organizations, and agencies in Benton County and meeting community leaders and other individuals passionate about getting involved to help make Corvallis as good as it can be.

Nov 9th 2025: Nature of the Crime Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library

We invited the community to join us to watch the documentary “Nature of the Crime” following three men who committed crimes before the age of 20 and their attorneys as they navigate the complexities of the parole system after decades in jail.


Our panelists, Atty Joshua Hunking, Honorable Judge Thomas McHill, and Atty Jennifer Nash, Chair of the Oregon Public Defense Commission, held an engaging discussion with audience members, which ultimately centered around the big question: What is the purpose of the criminal justice system? Rehabilitation, retribution, or something else entirely?

Nov 2025: Flag Pole Donation to Cascade View Christian School

The symbol of the flag is important to Josh as a veteran. So many men and women fought and died so that we could fly this flag planted on this land, and thus it must be treated with respect and honor.


When a parent alerted us that their children’s school did not have a flagpole, we were happy to donate one so that they could participate in the traditions of honor and respect for the flag and to acknowledge the effort and sacrifice that went into protecting it at all costs.


Oct 31st 2025: Downtown Corvallis Trick-or-Treat 🎃👻

We had so much fun opening up our Corvallis location for Trick-or-Treating. We were a bit off the beaten path, but luckily our valiant knight inspired some families to stop by our office before calling it a night.


There will be tales of the mage who broke the curse on the Crimson Skull when called to action by a knight in need, with the strength of many voices who followed in their wake, the curse was broken, and a horde of candy shared amongst all!

Sept. 25th -26th 2025: United Way of Lane County Days of Caring

Hunking Law showed up to volunteer on several projects with United Way of Lane County in Eugene and Springfield:

Nov 28th – Dec 16th 2022: Blanket Drive, Corvallis

We collected blankets, jackets and other winter items at our Corvallis office and donated them to the Corvallis Daytime Drop-In Center for distribution to our unhoused community.

Fall, 2017: Festival Latino, Moneith Park, Albany

Josh volunteered at an “Ask A Lawyer” booth answering DMV/Traffic-related legal questions for anyone who wanted to ask.
